Менеджмент проектов - это дисциплина, изучающая  организацию и управление активами (например, людьми), которая позволяет выполнять проект с заданной стоимостью, качеством, масштабом и временными рамками. Проектом считается активность по производству эксклюзивного товара или услуги, которые принесут полезные изменения или выгоду. Особенностью работы является то, что она разовая, ее действия и процессы непостоянны или постоянно находятся в разработке. Управление этими двумя структурами отличается, что вызывает различные мнения по поводу технологий, и поэтому влечет развитие менеджмента проектов.
